To activate Lightning, you first need to:
- Create your account: you will receive a license key on your email address
- (If you lost your license key, go here to have it re-sent to you)
- Download the software and install it on your computer
Once Lightning is installed and once you have your license, key: Launch PowerPoint or Outlook.
Go to File > Add-ins (on the bottom-left corner) > Lightning > “License key and account details“. This is where you can input your license key.

When you have copy-pasted your license key, click on “Check now”:
